Wiper motor help please!
Hey everyone,
Can someone please explain to me how I can wire up a 1989,90,91 or 92 motor (without pump) through 1998 4th gen wiring into a 3rd gen column please.
The reason is that I'm performing a full LS1 (writing loo included) swap to my 3rd gen but I know I have to use the 3rd gen multi function switch to get the wipers to work, but I cannot figure out the wiring at all!!
Thanks in advance...

Were this mine to do , here's how I'd do it ;
You said you will use a 3rd gen wiper switch and of course a third gen wiper motor . As long as the motor and switch are compatible all you'll need is the wiring in between . Presumably the LS1 harness has wiper wires in it ? If so , you get both wiring diagrams (LS1 and 3rd gen) for the wipers and looking at the 3rd gen diagram you figure out how many wires run from the switch to the motor . Then , using the wiper wires in the LS1 harness you replicate the 3rd gen diagram to satisfy each connection from the switch to the motor . I don't know offhand , but let's say for example there are 5 wires running from the switch to the motor , you use the LS1's wiper harness wires to replace the 3rd gen wiring for those 5 wires and all should work fine (the switch will need +12V from a key on power source) .
