Hello Transammers,
I picked up a 1982 Trans Am 5.0 Crossfire, the engine rotates but won’t start. I checked out and replaced sparks’ wires and sparks were replaced by previous owner.
I saw that during I’m turning on, there are no spies/lights on dashboard that are flashing/coming on. Furthermore if I put an obd1 adapter to obd2 reader, the reader has no lights turning on (like it doesn’t receive any electricity). The ECM was replaced and I don’t know how ‘it was replaced’ as long as sparks.. I replaced also fuel filter. The fuel I see that comes as well til the carbs. I think I said all. I think could be a electrical wire. Let me know gurus. Thank you!

 

Have you checked for spark and injector pulse?

No I didn’t. Anyway there are lights (engine service) off on my dashboard, this could help us to solve the problem?

 

You can troubleshoot it however you like. If you want to trace the SES light then pull the diagram and trace it. Sounds like you have a plan.

I would start with spark and injector pulse.

The twin-toilet injection is not known for being reliable or easy to work on. You have an uphill battle. I suggest you get a scope so you can properly test your components.
