Won’t Start

I have a brand new battery and my second new alternator in two days. I can jump the car off and it runs. Shut it down and come back 20 minutes and it won’t start. The battery is less than two weeks old and tests good. Any ideas?

Re: Won’t Start

If the alt is actually charging properly (which is the first thing to check; there's more to that than just "new"), something is drawing power off the batt. LOTS of it.

I'd suggest looking closely at all electrical loads; lights, power seats, stereo eqpt, etc. Especially anything non-factory.

As sofa states. After started, are you getting around 14v ±4v while the engine is running ?
