Re: back up light switch

You dont need a photo. There are only three plugs in the worst case scenario. The backup lights are on the side of the main case. If you've got the upshift light switch it's in the top cover, and the electronic speed sensor would be in the tail shaft. It' be pretty hard to get them mixed up.

Re: back up light switch

slide under the car, and look up her skirt on the left side of the transmission (driver's side), approximately halfway up, there is a two pin weatherpak connector. If your wiring is intact, there will be a two pin male weatherpak connector that goes over the transmission bellhousing to the wiring harness on the passenger side of the engine bay, about where the heater box is. It's pretty easy to tell which connector it is, there's only one that could reach behind the engine to the driver's side of the transmission. I just jacked my car up to replace the clutch hydraulic line (AGAIN) and repack wheel bearings so let me know if you need photos of where it is specifically.
EDIT: your car is the same year as mine it should look identical

Re: back up light switch

Here we go buddy. Take note of the small connector, and disregard the highly flammable ATF dripping down onto the exhaust. A guy is in college and can only fix one thing at a time
