tachometer messing up.
my stock tachometer used to work just fine, now when i start my car the needle will wiggle a little for a second but then will not read the RPMs. I dont know if its related but my oil gauge now just zooms up to the max reading on the gauge as well. any insight is appreciated!

If your tach circuit board ends up being bad, I would highly recommend visiting https://www.cajuntachshop.com/ and picking up one of their tach circuit boards.
I did for my car, and it was worth every penny IMO.
EDIT: By "not read the RPM's" do you mean it just pegs to the max? If so the Cajun tach board will fix it.
Also, don't bother trying to get a used tach on ebay. Your chances of getting a good one on there that will last is basically zero.

Re: tachometer messing up.
the needle stays at zero. when turn the key to the start position the needle will briefly wiggle but will not do anything else from there. i never had any problems before with it. i checkd the wire coming from the distributor and all seems well on that end as far as i can tell so idk.
