Electric Bogey in the Wiper Wiring
Hi,
I'm hunting this damned issue now for a few months, replaced the following things last autum:

My two theories are:
I'm hunting this damned issue now for a few months, replaced the following things last autum:
- Wiper Motor (old one was ok actually when I tested it, just to be sure)
- Wiper Switch inside the Steering column (which I thought fixed the issue because it was working for some time)
) and the fuse shorts out when I set it to high (low works but quite slow for my tastes, but maybe it was always like this)My two theories are:
- The wiper linkages (the mechanical part which connects the arms to the motor) are quite hard to move by hand --> maybe this is just too much for the wiper motor?? (and the fuse)
- The turn signal/wiper stalk is still the old one, I have a new one, could this actually be the culprit? (it is possible to get it out without dissambling anything correct? Cruise control is deactivated anyway on my car so the extra wire does not need to be connected?)

Re: Electric Bogey in the Wiper Wiring
Ok so tested the following:
-Disconnected the Motor, set to high --> shorted out
-Checked the wiring inside the car --> everything ok
-Replaced the Turn Signal Stalk --> worked for around half an hour, during driving while in "off" --> shorted out and shorted out after turning the ignition on for some time
-Tried to check the wires inside the motor bay, after a little bit of fiddling around it worked again for roughly a minute --> shorted out
Looks like a broken cable somewhere, I will probably take it to a mechanic, eletrical stuff blows my personal fuse faster than the wiper fuse...

If it shorted out with the harness wiper motor, then i would guess the issue is somewhere in the wiring. Maybe inside the column. There is no wiper wiring in the stalk, its all in the column. The little harness from the stalk is for cruise control only.

Re: Electric Bogey in the Wiper Wiring
I think I found the issue, I've bridged the white cable which delivers 12V to the switch inside the steering column (the actual connector is outside of course) and now it works
