If the new column doesn't have cruise then you don't really need to worry about that. If you don't have delay wipers already, you'll have to grab the motor/assembly from a car that does have it. Other than that, there's no special wiring needed for the delay wipers. My camaro didn't have delay wipers & I swapped to a column that had it (didn't know at 1st, no turn lever) but, I did a seach & a few other people said you just have to get the right motor/assembly & plug it in & it'll work. I got one for $5 at the junkyard, plugged it in & it works fine (so far).

you can use a delay wiper switch with a non-delay wiper motor. both high and low speeds will work fine, washer pump will work as well.

the only quirk will be that the wipers will immediatetly stop in the middle of the windsheild if you move the selector lever to the delay section of the wiper switch.

to get the intermittent function working, you'll need a wiper control module from a pulse wiper equipped car. module is black and bolts to the front of wiper motor in the engine bay. wiper motor itself is the same regardless of whether car has pulse wipers or not, just the cover is different.

While on the topic of wipers, here's some pulse wiper retrofit notes:

I added intermittent wipers to both of the birds, none had the feature at purchase time. Swapped out the wiper switch in the column, added a new turn signal stalk, and changed out the wiper control board. The wiper harness and motor are the same regardless of vehicle trim level.

Can swap wiper boards among a decent number of general motors products. For instance one board i used for the swap is from a monte carlo and the other from a celebrity.

On my camaro it was on or off.. no hi, no stopping in the middle of the windshield, either way it goes, you're going to need a motors/assembly from a car that had delay originally
