Lighter and radio

I recently had to replace the positive battery cable bolt because it was stripped. Now my lighter and radio doesn’t work on my 1992 Chevy Camaro RS 5.0L. Both acc and radio fuses are fine and the rear hatch, both windows and power door locks all work fine. I don’t know what else to check so I’m looking for ideas to try

Re: Lighter and radio

Replace (not "check") the CTSY fuse.

No, it will actually say 'ctsy' on the fuse panel.

Re: Lighter and radio

Now it shakes kinda like a sputter when holding steady at a certain speed. Might have to replace the fuel filter again

Re: Lighter and radio

Yeah the CTSY (courtesy light aka dome & footwell lights) fuse supplies numerous full-time powered things in the car; besides the lights, the cig lighter, the radio memory including the digital part of the tuner, the low-power part of the power door locks, maybe a few other things, get their power from it. Pretty important circuit.

Couldn't say about the sputtering issue but fuel system sounds like a good guess.
