Backup lights/neutral safety

Hey guys,
You have been most helpful in the past. My son and I are trying to finish a restoration on a 83 Camaro that we bought off of someone who started this project and gave up.
The 83 was originally a 305, 5-speed stick. The guy we bought it off of, converted it to a 350 with a 700r4.
We are finding out everyday, this guy was no more than a hack. But, we are trying to move forward.
Situation we have now is, interior is completely striped. We removed the 2nd gen auto shifter that he installed with some aluminium siding sheet metal.I have already properly repaired the square hole where the stick shifter use to be. I already fabricated the front mount. We are installing a B&M Megashifter that is specific for the 82-89 Camaro.
Install was not issues until it came to the electrical. There was no harness for the backup lights or neutral safety. The B&M comes with switches to activate the back up lights and safety start.
There are some wires that were going to the console that have been cut. Would anyone know what colour the backup light wires would be and where would I find the safety start wires?
I was thinking the wires for the backup would have been feed to the console and ran off it when the Stick was put in reverse. I was also thinking the wires for the startup safety would have been under the dash by the old remnants of the clutch pedal?

Here are Two Schematics... I am sorry as they are not an exact match for your car (Year and Engine)...
But at least you can see the corresponding colored Wires this way.

Your car (with a Manual-Transmission) would have originally had a Detent/ Switch on the Transmission itself (under the Car, not in the Cabin) to activate the Reverse-Lights.
Below is a Schematic showing how both a Manual and Automatic, would be wired:

I obviously have no idea what the previous owner did to the Wiring-Harnesses...
But find the Signal-Flasher under the Dash-Board (on the Driver's side) and find the smaller gauge Blue Wire.

Next you will need to find the Light-Green Wire that goes to the Reverse-Lamps.
The wiring should be routed (from the rear of the Car) under the Door-Sill Plate (on the Driver's side) and then up and under the Dash-Board.

These Two Wires need to connect to the aftermarket Shifter Reverse-Switch.
Extend the Two wires as needed.

For the Neutral-Safety, the Car would have originally had a Switch that would work off of the Clutch-Pedal.
Here is a Schematic below:

The 10 AWG Purple Wire is connected to the Starter-Motor Solenoid, goes through the C100 Firewall Bulk-Head Connector, and goes under the Dash-Board (on the Driver's side).
The 10 AWG Yellow Wire is connected to the Ignition-Switch and goes under the Dash-Board (on the Driver's side).
Both of the Wires originally would have gone to the Neutral-Safety Switch for the Clutch-Pedal.

These Two Wires will need to connect to the aftermarket Shifter Neutral-Safety Switch.
Extend the Two Wires with 10 AWG or 8 AWG Wire as needed.

I couldn't have hoped for anything better! Thank you so much for taking the time and doing this. The wiring schematics will help and your play by play write up is awesome.
Thanks again for the help!
Regards,
Matt.
