86 firebird rear defrost switch

I have a couple of rear defrost switchs but each has a flaw, button light not illuminating, picture icon worn, etc
I was hoping to take the button fronts off and switch them amongst the switches, can this be done?
Is there a way to fix the button light so it will illuminate again?
I am afraid of breaking the button covers trying to remove them

thanks

First... These OLD Plastics are very delicate.

But YES, the Switches can be disassembled.
Although I do not believe I have seen anyone on the forum do so.

I would see if you can get in touch with Member @Panorama (he last signed on in April)...
But he may be able to assist you.
