HELP need help w/ steering column wires

So I'm rewiring my 86 camaro and I need to know what colors wires are what on the 11pin plug. I tried all over this forum and didn't find anything. I'm trying to keep all functions on the column original

Re: HELP need help w/ steering column wires

Seems kind of the long way around to get to that point.

Apart from that, someone asked a question much like this not too long ago, and posted lots of pics, schematics from FSMs, etc. Since those colors and wires and functions are all the same for ALL GM cars since the 60s (except for the addition of the key buzzer in the late 70s to early 80s), whatever is in that discussion, will apply equally to your car.

What isn't working? What are you having trouble with?

There are some exceptions.

Especially as new Systems were added and new Warning Indicators were created...
Bulb Tests for Warning Indicators were added to the Ignition Switch.

True... but the ign sw isn't part of the 11-pin connector. That's brake lights, TS F & R, hazards, & horn.

Cars that had that, were pretty much all identical, from around 65 or 66 on up to at least our cars. Only thing I can recall that got added to that in all those years was the key buzzer.

That's True!

In Our Cars just the Door Ajar Circuits were added.

Later Firebirds (Corvettes too) had the front Cornering Lamp Circuits go through this Connector.
