Car wont do anything

So i’ve been working on this car for a while now when i bought it i was told that the only issue was it needed a fuel pump so i changed it i changed the tank i cleaned all the fuel lines installed a new distributor set the time got it to start and idle fine. Then i went to drive it and realized the guy who had it prior to me had incompletely manual swapped it so i installed a new slave cylinder and clutch line bled the clutch then when i started it up to drive it it wouldnt idle it would turn over then cut off. I was able to drive it around the corner and then it would die unless i gave it a little gas. I got it back to the house and now when i turn the key nothing happens. So i assumed it was the starter that had gone out so i replaced it and still nothing. Any suggestions?
its an 87 2.8 fuel injected v6

Slow down and stop changing parts without trouble shooting problems first. Don't rely on previous owner claims of what is wrong. Do you have a volt/ohm meter and know how to use it? Start at the battery, check the cables and the connections, clean and tight on both ends, positive and ground.
