I'm sorry to ask this basic question but i want to be sure of what i will buy....
So, my alternator is not working anymore and i want to change it but doesn't find anything on the internet for my camaro RS 1990 305ci and the one mounted on the car doesn't have any part number...

Can you help me please <3

 

Any auto parts store will have that information...

 

I live in France and none of those close to me have the answer ^^
I also asked for the coil spring, radio and headlights and that's the same issue...
Don't have other choices to buy direclty from US.

 

AC Delco part number 3351040 is what you need.

RockAuto carries them, but I'm not sure if they will ship to France.

But i have one question, where is the Bat- on it? I do have a cable on my car attached to the alternator.

 

The photo RockAuto has of the back of the alternator shows the BAT screw post. It's the right one for your car.

The other link you sent is also the same part, so that will work too.

Not sure on the RockAuto negative reviews. RockAuto is excellent here in the states, but maybe there are more issues when shipping overseas.

 

Not talking about the bat+ but bat- (aka ground). I'll see tonight where this cable is going...

There should not be a separate ground cable to the alternator from the factory. The alternator case grounds through the mounting bracket to the engine block. Someone may have added a ground strap at some point, but that would just be connected to the alternator case using any available threaded hole.

 

I would have looked up the part number for you but did not realize you are not in the U.S. ...

 

Ye that's the issue when you are working on an american car but you are not in the US ^^

 

Post a picture of your alternator to make sure nothing is different.
