Just got everything buttoned up. 305 ccc carb to 350 same carb, new ecm with proper timing curve and prom with delete egr. Clicks from driver firewall, no power to signal when key is turned, starter has power. when power applied to signal it makes a weird sound from a different area than the starter, like an electronic noise. All grounds look good im kinda stunped.

The brake lamp illuminates when I try to crank it over. Swapped ecms and it did nothing. I also replaced the ecs and knock sensor just for some background. Going to check rear engine ground again

Check your battery cables, esp the negative one.

Re: Clicking from driver firewall after engine swap
The click is the fuel pump relay clicking on, nothing else happens, no power at signal.

Re: Clicking from driver firewall after engine swap
All grounds re checked, double checked everything. When I jump power to the purple wire on the starter it just turns on the helper fuel pump(this is done with key in on position)

Also tried switching back to old ecm. If I slowly crank with either ecm, before I hit the fuel pump, I can hear the ecm make a very faint noise if that means anything

Honestly, this was a hard pill to swallow. Just not familiar and rushing through and didn't disconnect signal to check for power at first. Very time consuming mistake and hope someone learns from it, I know I will haha.
