V6 manual to v8 auto wiring hullabaloo
Hey everyone, i have an 87 Camaro that used to be a v6 and manual (bought as roller) that i am swapping a 1992 carb swapped 305 with 700r4 into. To no surprise I’m running into issues with wiring. Mechanically I’m all good. The 1992 stuff comes from a complete donor that I currently have.
The main question is if I should modify the v6 harness to use for the carb v8 so I don’t have to repin the c100 OR if I should bite the bullet and repin the 1992 harness’s c100. Would I also need to swap the dash harness from the 1992? (i want to avoid this though)
I plan on having a TCC lockup switch because the tcc from the donor was cut so i would have to buy a new one anyway. Reverse lights can wait for now because this isnt a daily.
I’m just confused and probably overthinking this but any help would be much appreciated because I’ve done a ton of looking on these and you all are legitimately the smartest individuals in the world. I can attach pictures if people need them
