You know the ground strap that comes off the firewall and bolts on to the engine block?

I can't reach or even see where it bolts to the block, but I see that I can bolt the strap to the metal bracket that holds the external ignition coil. Is this an ok spot to bolt the strap too? It seems like a fair size metal bracket.

By bolting the ground wire by the coil, will it create electronic interference with the coil or have any ill effects at all?
