my choke light started coming on 2 days ago, however, it only comes on between 1000-1250 rpms and at any speed...no other time. i know the choke light is also the alternator light, but my alternator is only about 8 months old. volts are good from the battery and it seems the alternator is charging fine. i doubt its the alternator because the light comes on and off and i think the light would be on constantly if it was the alt (i know because the light stayed on a while ago, replaced alt and it was fine) anyone have any ideas?

 

in related news, i stopped at a stop sign today and the rpms dropped to about 5, volts went down to around 10, and the car wanted to stall....dunno if this is related, but im thinking the alternator after all......
