I found a stat housing for my 86 TPI at PepBoys. It's cast iron (won't warp as easily) and was about $10. Hope that helps.

Do you have any more details on the HEADS? Flow numbers, port ccs, etc.

Been out of town fishing but got the info you requested by the way thanks for input on thermostat housing
The heads are 53 cc heads 175/61 cc ports these are factory specks but the heads look to have been ported so im not sure how that has changed these numbers I can post pics but will have to take pics again thanks

Im back and offering the lt1 engine and parts at reduced price
Engine $ 300. 4l60e trans reverse slips out on hill selling for core $150.
alum-heads 10128374 $250.
Buy everything for $600. call tim at 270-316-5166

Very interested in the heads, Any idea what compression ratio id have with a 400 with factory dished pistons?

Those are LT1 heads, will not fit SBC 400 without some major mods. Just FYI................
