Comp Cam for sale

XR282HR 2200-5800 RPM SB Chevrolet Hydraulic Roller Xtreme Energy Camshaft :: 12-432-8 - SDPC

Its brand spanking new still in the plastic in the box. I am missing the cam card because i gave it to the machine shop when they did my ported vortecs. This cam with STOCK vortec heads on a 383 made 450 NA and just over 720 with a vortech blower at around 10 lbs of boost.

The quick rundown of the specs are 230/236 .510/.520 110 LSA

I am selling because i sold the heads to my cousin and will be doing a turbo LS1 instead.

Cam is 250 new. Looking for 150+shipping +3% if using Paypal

Thanx
Patrick

Not to be a pain in the ***, but even with any aftermarket spring vortec heads won’t play nice with that cam. The .480” limit is not a spring problem but a problem with the retainers/valve stem seals that the factory used. Vortec heads require machining to use seals that will allow you to run a higher lift.

For that matter, stock vortec heads will not flow enough to make 450hp without some cleanup.

If you use the Comp beehive spring, and 787 retainer, you can get a safe lift of .525 without machining.

i had this cam with vortecs. that setup hauled ***... you may need some spring and the guides shaved but it will work.
