Hays Billet flywheel and factory driveshaft for sale in CT!

I bought this tranny because I thought mine was toasted. I dropped my tranny and found that my throwout bearing took out my clutch disc and THAT was the problem. Just to make sure my tranny was fine, I installed a new clutch and a new flywheel with my old tranny, and found my old transmission worked fine.

I was thinking about installing this in my car anyway becuase it is a stronger WORLD CLASS tranny, but right now I need the money for other projects instead.

The guy I bought it off said it was JUST rebuilt 200 miles prior to being pulled out of his car for about $1,500.00! I haven't installed this in my car, but when I picked this up it had fluid in it (I've since drained it) and it shifted though the gears FAR smoother than mine does.

**TRANNY SOLD - FLYWHEEL AND DRIVESHAFT STILL FOR SALE*** .

I have a Hays Billet Steel flywheel up for sale with less than 10k easy (i.e., behind a stock LG4 ) miles on it. This is a perfect flywheel for you drag racing guys who want something stonger than stock and something that can store some energy for a nice, hard launch. I paid $230.00 + shipping for this flywheel from summitracing.com, I'm willing to let it go for $125 + shipping.

Lastly, I have a factory steel driveshaft off of an 87 IROC with a T-5 for sale for $20 picked up.

As a package deal, I'll sell the flywheel, and the driveshaft, picked up, for $130. No dibs on any of this stuff - first to pay gets it! Please reply to this VIA PM, as sometimes I don't get properly subscribed to the thread.

I've attached a few pics - I apologize for the quality, my digi cam has been taking horrible pics as of late.

Question about the T-5

Hey man - whereabouts are you in Connecticut? I'm in Stafford and have a quickly dying WC T5 that could use replacement. I'm also interested in how sure u are of the condition of the transmission...i.e. - how reliable the seller was, are there exterior clues to the tranny having been rebuilt, etc.

THANKS!

Tyler

I'm in Southern CT, on the shore near Bridgeport, but I drive around the state a bit and I'm willing to possibly meet halfway or so (within CT) if necessary.

I really didn't want to deal with the hassle, but after reading through some of the other posts, it doesn't seem to be that much of a PITA. I'll package it up and get you a quote if you give me a zip code.

Sorry I slacked on this, I've been hammered with work as of late. I'll get you a quote sometime today or tomorrow.

Anyone else who wants a quote, now would be a good time to let me know.

sfmaro - apologies, still haven't been able to break free from work at lunch to get a shipping quote.

stangetr - It's a 10.4" flywheel...standard thirdgen size. Let me know if you want to pick it up, I may be able to meet you around Greenwich, CT, which is on the CT/NY border.

Sorry! Haven't forgotten about you. I've had the flywheel in the trunk of my car for the past week...still haven't had time to get to the post office. I'm thinking tomorrow will be the day. I'll let you know what I find. Thanks for the patience!

Oh, btw, 1-piece RMS (it was on my 87).
