Ive got a 58mm bbk throttle body that was used to fire up my motor. Never even seen more than 20oorpm while in park ! Was not even driven ... I ripped it off and put my other 52mm once i repaired the threads on it. Total run time of no more than 30 mins !
Im asking 270 + shipping. I paid 325 from my local spead shop at the time. I wanted to put in a bigger cam but uncle sam wants his yearly alemoney payment so no such luck. Its over kill for my setup as is but is the final touches on your higher horsepower motor.
Have the box, throttle body plate, and gasket along with the throttle body. Im in the 92626 of Cali.

The throttle body is in great condition.
I know it'll make someone real happy and it cheaper than if you where to buy it new.
Drop me a line .....

JAYDUBB,
Thanks for the offer but I already have a 52mm for my 88 and my bbk 58mm is for the year range of 1985-1988.
rik89gta,
I prefer to get 270+shipping. It is a good deal still. I'll drop you a line if things don't work out. Thank you for your interest.
92purplehaze,
Hey man I'm right by South Coast Plaza (close to where the 73 meets the 405 and just down the street from the 55). I think I have raced you on the 73 free way going to the 55 transition a while back .... hmmm with my last motor. Pm me man.
Thanks everyone for your responses.

Sorry to thread jack...
Hey Rik89GTA, I have the TB that you need! 250 plus shipping. Brand new. I used it to mock up on a Stealth Ram. Never run on a car. I mounted the IAC plate so the gasket is questionable.
Onfire, You have the TB I need! Can you hold off on selling if rik89gta buys mine? Once he buys mine, I will buy yours. We can all use paypal.

JayDubb... That's sounds like a good idea. I don't like the paypal thing though. I'd prefer to send a check or money order. Do You have any pics of the throttle body? I would just like to visually confirm that this is the 89-92 TB I'm currently seeking. Thanks

Of course I have pics!
Again, I have all of the bolts and gaskets. I still have the stickers (woo-hoo) and the original receipt. Its approximately 2 months old.

JayDubb, I'm not too sure about the tb now but I do appreciate Your honesty about the bent lever. I'm not sure if it's a such a great idea to buy something that's been altered with. I might just purchase a new one to reassure myself that it's gonna be 100% reliable. I'm having enough of a hard time getting my 383, HSR setup right. I really can't afford any more possible problems stemming up.
Senior Member
Wait... Youre trying to set up a HSR? Are you aware that you will need an 85-88 TB? Thats the problem that I am facing now. If you get an 89-92 TB, you will be in the same situation that I am in. The lever on the 89-92 TB will hit the fitting on the drivers-side fuel rail.
Maybe you should buy onfire's TB. That would probably be the best way to go especially if you have the money. I just wish Holley would make this 100% clear in their literature. I wouldnt have even bought this stinking TB.

So it is indeed the 85-88 TB I need for my HSR setup. I suppose this is what's needed for the linkage lever to clear the fuel fitting. But how would everything else like the IAC and TPS match up?Originally Posted by JAYDUBB

All that other stuff is the same. Look on Holley's website and you will see that they recommend the 85-88 TB. Again, I wish I knew this before I bought my TB.Originally Posted by rik89gta

Onfire, since selling my TB fell through, I cant buy yours. Rik89gta should get first dibs on your TB.
Rik89gta... remember that you will have to change your accelerator cable and cable bracket.
