ZZ4 Hyd Roller Cam

Hi Everyone,
I am selling my GM ZZ4 camshaft. It only has about 300 miles on it and is in great shape! Here are the specs...

208/221 Duration @ 0.050, .474 intake / .510 exhaust, 112 deg sep

Asking $75 + $10 shipping, so $85 gets it to your door!

FYI - these cams go for $200 at SDPC and $90 on Ebay (all without shipping!!!).

Thanks!

If you are definately wanting the cam, I can wait until the 2nd week in Oct. for payment and then I will ship it asap.

I would recommend using a stiffer spring... especially if your using the original springs. It's my understanding that the factory springs won't handle very much lift beyond stock. I'm pretty sure I've read that on the boards... you might want to do a quick search to verify.

Sorry, no lifters but if your engine has OE roller lifters they can be reused.

Thanks!

Re: ZZ4 Hyd Roller Cam

I stay in Columbia, Mo. BTW yes I am definitely interested in this cam. I figure getting it and buying new springs would be cheaper than buying the cam myself from TPIS its just that rent is due on the 5th and I dont think my old lady would like me being late on paying it, lol!!!

Yeah, paying rent late might be bad I will hold on to the cam for you until the 2nd week in Oct.

FYI - I also have a PayPal account if you would prefer to pay that way.

Thanks!

Re: ZZ4 Hyd Roller Cam

the stock springs will work for cams with lift less than .480 anything above that new springs should be put in.

Re: ZZ4 Hyd Roller Cam

Vettoz,

ZZ4 valve springs 12551483 for $40 a set. Sign me up for that. The dealership in my area want $10.79 each or for a set including tax, about $185, and you still have to get the retainers at $2.32 each.

Better find a new dealer.
Even allowing for their expensive shipping, GM Parts Direct has them for $30 a set of 16 or $6.65 each

Hi Shadygrady,

I did run this cam for about 300 miles. I recently finished my first rebuild on my L98 and apparently did something wrong with a head gasket. So, I ended up taking everything apart again and figured, since everything was apart again, I would go ahead pull the ZZ4 for a little bigger cam.
I bought the cam on ebay (pulled out of a new ZZ4 crate motor) from rpd-racing (ebay id). Sorry, but he didn't provide any paperwork.

thanks!

Re: ZZ4 Hyd Roller Cam

Not big on things off of ebay.Think I`ll have to pass. Thanks anyway.A new may cost twice as much but the peace of mind that comes with it would be worth it.Hope you dont think I wasted your time.
