Anyone who did get screwed by this guy just needs to be smart with what they say on here just so it can't come back to them if (when) this goes to court, now having said that it wouldn't hurt my feelings if somebody guts him like a fish

I've got a good story to add here. I met George at a nice Thunderbird meet for the Mid Atlantic MN12 forums in WV last summer. You can see him posting here yesterday morning (http://www.mamn12.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=3546) as 97thunderbirdlxv8. He had a 97 Thunderbird sport as some of you may have seen in a picture floating around here. He seemed like a good guy. We talked, but it was the first time I met him. He claims he's had a girlfriend for like 6 years or so, and that he bought her a Honda and modded it to no end and basically sounded like he had money but definitely did not look the part. Anyway, about 6 months later it comes that I needed to swap the motor mounts in my Supercoupe. He had IM'd me a few times so I mentioned it to him and he offered to help since he said he has done them before. So it sounded like a good deal because SC motor mounts are a pain in the *** and I've never done them before. He said something about knowing a guy in an Air base who would rent a lift and tools for cheap and that we could get it done on Sunday (yesterday) morning. He called me Friday and said that everything was good to go and he'll see me Sunday. He gave me this address, which is about 2 hours south of PA where I live.

Also he has been on AIM for about 2.5 days straight, and that post proves he's been active. I hope he gets some jail time. That goes to show you why people like this keep doing this kind of things. Neither the police department nor the post office department (both paid by our taxes) did anything about it. On the other hand if you take the law in your hands and go mess this guy up that he might learn a lesson then the police will have the time and make the efford to find you and lock you up. Justice?

You know, I do happen to be a big fan of vigilante justice. Best way to drop the crime rate in this country or anywhere else I think would be to simply be vigilant. Watch the movie Death Wish. The first one, not the other 10 or 20 of them.

I would rather give a TGO member some cash for his old parts any day than to buy new from somewhere. There's always someone somewhere trying to rip people off. The problem is most people get ripped off and let the law take it then roll over. Trust me I've been there. I learned my lesson, now I'm super cautious with everything I do and have a hair trigger when I think I'm being screwed. Has that caused me issues? Sure it has but it's also saved my *** once or twice. Everyone needs to step up and handle their business and that's what this thread is all about. No one should drop it, they should keep on pursuing this guy until they KNOW he's in prison for one thing or the other. I wish everyone good luck with getting their cash back and rest assured this guy will ruin his own life, no one has to step in and do it for him just make sure that money goes back into your wallet.

Did everybody get there money back? Why wouldnt the police and post office press charges? Ive been following this from day one and almost sent him money!!! Just remeber the guy is a pos so majority of his life is probally crap, his parents are probally pos too, so even if this doesnt work out to him having jail time .... at least ya know the one life hes got in this world sucks... . good luck guys.

still no update from postal inspector or the detective working on the case. i call every now and again to see if there is any update from the postal inspector, and they have no updates ever. i've called the detective a couple of times, but only get back peddling from that, call one time "an arrest warrant is being put into affect in a week" next time i call 2 months later "we are putting an arrest warrant out if he doesn't comply"
I was told basically that what the "system" is trying to do is get this guy arrested and even if he is convicted of mail fraud and all other charges, that still doesn't mean i will get my money back, i would have to take him to court. the "system" is only to put the fraudulent person in jail not get the victims their money back, but even at that, it doesn't seem like thats working either. so there is not much i can do to further pursue this, and i haven't seen any of the other people that were involved in this post back here about it, so i think they don't care.
