T56 Set-up for Third Gen Cars...
...Testing the waters so to speak. Here is whats for salel
Hey Y'all
Parts List:
*Built 1995 T56 - built it to handle 700 rwhp
*McLeod Street Twin Clutch w/steel flywheel - good to 1200 hp*Brand New! Spohn Trans Cross member with front drive shaft loop - built for a T56 into 3rd gens, powder coated red
*3rd gen Camaro/Firebird pedal assembly with ALL the electrical connectors and switches - saves you money on buying new switches! Peddles have new old stock pads, and are painted. Look just like new.
*New adjustable hyd. master cylinder from McLeod for the clutch
*Stock hyd. master cylinder for 4th gen LT1 cars
*B&M Ripper Shifter with SLP shift ****
*4th gen manual shift boot for LT1 cars
*Stock 4th gen trans crossmember
*Stock LT1 bellhousing - I hadn't bought an SFI unit yet
*Abbott cable X box w/manual. So you can adjust speedometer
*Clutch alignment tool, trans disassembly tool and shop manual
*Third gen Console cover for a manual shift. 8 out 10 as far as condition.
*Lower rubber shift boot to cover the hole in where shifter comes up through the tranny tunnel. New old stock.
**I don't have a pilot bearing, but they're readily available in the after market.**
Price: $1800.00 firm.
These kits from F-Body Motor sports or Hawks Third Gen go for $2,000. My kit has a very high end clutch and a built transmission so those guys would charge lots more.
I also have a 9 bolt posi w/3.70 gears. It's out of an '85 TA. Rear has disks on them, although no calipers. Further, if anyone is interested, I have a set of Vette aluminum heads out of a '87 Vette. Rear end and heads - $500.00 firm. Just in case anyone may be interested.
The reason I'm wishing to sell the above is this. I use to drive manuals years ago. And recently did (about a yr ago) I got to thinking, man do I really want to switch to a manual? I'm not a spring chicken anymore, so, I decided to stay with the built to the gills auto I now have in mt ride.
As far as the 9 bolt. I again decided to stay with the 10 bolt rear. I just built it up as far as a 10 bolt can be. When I retire, and if I do decide to build an LSX motor, I'll go with a built 9 inch from Currie or somebody.
The Vette heads, I changed my mind and went instead with heads from Trick Flow. In fact, my ride is at a gear head coworker home of mine who is doing the last of build up until I retire in a few years.
Figured you'd like to know why I'm selling the man. trans., rear end, and heads.
If you're not interested in the 9 bolt, and heads, you're going to have to come to Jackson MI to pick up the man. trans, and what all you're wanting.
If you're interested in the rear, heads, trans., and additional trans. parts, I'd be more than willing to meet you at a predetermined ½ way point between you and I (within reason of course - 200 miles).
OR... I'll be more than happy to crate up everything, and ship via the motor carrier of your choice. I'll except payment via PayPal as well.
Thank you sincerely for your reading and your interest.

My apologies for not being as prompt as I normally am in answering everyones inquires. But, I've been sick to death with whatever it is that is making the rounds in my neck of the woods.
I'm in the process of getting shipping quotes for all interested parties. I got to thinking, whoa, I don't wish to mislead anyone. Just to make sure everyone understands; shipping costs will be in addition to my firm asking price.
Thank you for your time and patience.

Re: T56 Set-up for Third Gen Cars...
I think I have replied to everyone who has contacted me asking for shipping quotes. To be fair to the folks who have asked, I at this time, (1901 hrs EST 8 May 08) will not accept anymore offers for the T56 trans and accessories.
The first gentlemen who PM'd me was toxik IROC. If he decides not to pursue, the next gentlemen in line is vexter. Third would be b dunn.
I personally don't know of any other way to be fair about this trans and accessories deal.
In any event, I thank all of you for your interests.

toxik IROC decided he wanted back in. He asked me to give him until 1700 hrs. EST today, 9 May 08. I agreed, saying okay, but not a second more. It is now 0959 hrs. EST.
Just being up front with everyone.

So... Its like this. I know what I have. And its not junk. The $1800.00 asking price to me seems dead center of the ball park.
I was getting my shipping quotes from UPS Freight. The quotes were generally running anywhere from $290.00 to $340.00. If someone knows of a cheaper way of shipping a crated box from Jackson, MI 49201 to you area, hey, by all means, lets give 'er a try! The crate size I'm figuring should be 4' x 4' x 2' box, with everything secured safely inside the crated shipping box.
I will gladly separate the Vette heads, and the 3.70 9 bolt rear. $250.00 a piece firm.
So as of know, I'm trying to interest some more of you 3rd Gen gear heads.
PayPal - sharoncathcart1949@yaho.com. Or, I'll take United States Postal Money Orders too.
Thank you for reading some more of my ramblings.

Re: T56 Set-up for Third Gen Cars...
They're the 128's. Not a great call for the 128's. As I was told, there is approx. 62K miles on heads. Visual inspections hasn't revealed any red flags to me. Checking with a straight edge, everything looks to be well within + or - .002. Yes, they're completely stock.
Thank you for your intrest.

Hi, sounds very good!!!
Is there any possibility to ship to germany?
Perhaps I can send you a carrier (schenker) to pick it up from you.
You only have to pack it right in a box.
Thanks Rob

Hi, I am interested in the trans package. I live in Buffalo, NY, and I would drive out to pick it up. Please send me a PM with your thoughts. I have cash waiting and I could set this up soon. Also-is the clutch for a one or two piece rear main seal?
thanks,
