i have a set of 305 vortec heads that i had bought and put on my 305 but i spun a bearing so instead of rebuilding the 305 i'm getting a 350.

heads are in good shape didn't smoke, $300/bo

yes they will work with tpi, but not with the stock base. vortec heads have a different bolt pattern, so you would need to buy a new lower intake. like this...

Can you post a pic with a clearer shot of the casting number? It's not clear in the other pics, but it looks like it might be the 350's casting number, not the 305's.

This is what I could tell? Very blurry.

 

The vortec truck heads (906 062)have the ideal heart shaped chambers. Those chambersabove, although on a 305 vortec head ,are identical to all other run of the mill GM head.

 

will they fit on tbi setup, if i get a the vortec intake?

 

Yeah you can buy a vortec intake for a carbed motor and also an adapter for the tbi unit that's what I did with my vortec 350
