Re: looking for 350 complete block NY
If your car is originally carbed i would just go for another sbc carbed. I removed a TPI engine and setup all the wiring and everything to convert my carbed car to TPI and by the time i took everything into consideration the bills just started sky rocketing before i even had the thing in my car!!! All just to get about 260 horsepower before i had to start paying people to burn me a chip (or do it myself more $$$). All in all i think the money pit is a lot more shallow if you stay with carbed sbc than going to TPI LT1 or LSI. Also parts are a dime a dozen for the carbed sbc engines. If anyone else has any real heart for you they will tell you the same!
