FULL BUILT 700R4 FOR TRADE

hey i have a fully built 700r4 trans, i put over $1400 in parts alone into the trans, claims to hold up to 800 horse im no where near that, the trans has mabye 8000 miles on it, also has a custom built 2800 stall furnace brazed 10in converter cost me $700, trans is out of a 87 ta, currently in a 88, trans is still in car, wont pull till an agree to trade, so im lookin for full manual swaps, T-56 (LT1) swaps perferibly with aftermarket clutch and shifter, T-5 swaps MUST have after market clutch and shifter or must add cash, or a fully built 200-4r, trans was in a diffrent more powerful t/a but it was totaled and i took the trans, i can get some pictures but only of the bottom/pan because its still in the car, ok offer up
located in Camden county New Jersey, i would perfer local but i will ship

Do you have any information on the build of the 200 4R? Did you ever see it running? What did the trans fluid look like? Any crap in the pan? Location, please.

Sorry...your correct. I was confused. I would be interested in the 700R4 but I'm looking for a strong tranny for my truck so I wouldn't need the torque converter. If you'll be willing to sell it without the TC, PM me some build info on it and I'll try to find shipping options.

Re: FULL BUILT 700R4 FOR TRADE

BUILT!! 2004R overdrive trans

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Testing the waters here. I'm looking to sell the tranny out of my 68 bird. It's a fully built 2004R overdrive. By built I mean just about everything that can be done has been done. I have over $3,500 invested in the tranny and converter. It's got a billet input shaft and front drum. Fully rollerized front support. Wider kevlar band on first gear and extra kevlar clutches on the rest of the gears. It was just freshened up in June of this year and probably doesn't even have 1,000 miles on it. It also has a fully manual reverse pattern TCI valve body and a billet shift servo. It also comes with a 4,200 stall (behind my 455) Vigilante lock up converter from precision industries. I just tore up the front pump a couple weeks ago and have had it with automatics, I'm going stick. It will be gone through and freshened up again so it will be in 100% working order when/if it goes. All the billet internals are rated for 1,200 horse and the converter is rated for 900 so it's ready for pretty much anything you want to throw at it. Looking to get $2,000 or will consider trade for T-56 plus cash (unless it's a viper spec or something along those lines) or one of the better Tremec's (I forget which is the good one but I don't want the cheaper ones, I'll only break them) Any interest?

Re: FULL BUILT 700R4 FOR TRADE

I have a T5 swap I would trade you. I have a new Hayes clutch in it currently w/ about 2000 miles on it. The Flywheel I believe is also a made by Hayes. It is a Billet steel flywheel w/ about 500-700 miles on it (if that). I am looking to go back to an auto. How much cash are you looking to get on top of the T-5 swap? I live in Hatboro,PA about 1 hour from you and work in Bordentown,NJ.

sorry about the delay been kind of busy, is it a stock replacement clutch and flywheel? or is it an upgraded unit? im assuming the t-5 is out of a v8 car? and is it a world class trans?

Re: FULL BUILT 700R4 FOR TRADE

It is a T-5 out of a V8 car and I believe it is a World Class. I'll have to call the previous owner to confirm. As far as the clutch goes I am not sure if it is a stock replacement. The clutch was in the car when I bought it w/ only 1500 miles on it. Now it has about 2300 miles on it. I'll have to check on that. I did buy the Flywheel myself but don't remember buying anything that was upgraded. I am assuming it is upgraded since it is made out of billet steel. I would have to check on summit Racing's website to be sure.

Re: FULL BUILT 700R4 FOR TRADE

TheT-5 is a world class and the clutch is made by RAM is is a stock replacement. The trans also has a Hurst shifter.

my th350 is completely rebuilt, trans go shift kit, 3000 stall, works great. I will also include the modified cross member and driveshaft if your interested. The trans is still in the car so it can be tested. I am very happy with the th350 I just want overdrive

Re: FULL BUILT 700R4 FOR TRADE

Im in Jersey with a 700r4 that has been rebuild with paperwork about 2-3k ago cost near 3 grand. Shop owner told me he did all the GM updates and ordered better than stock internals so it should hold 400 no problem. It was behind my slightly worked 350 putting down 200 hp(blown pistons long story) Im building a 383 now and need something that can handle 500+.
Would you be interested in a trade plus some cash maybe?
