richmond gears always whine, depends on how loud urs are, i have heard richmond gears whine with a perfect pattern.

 

The rear currently has jegs gears installed. the richmond gears are new in the box and are going with the rear.

 

26 or 28 spline axles?

 

thats a good question. i know i checked the ID# on the housing befor but that was so long ago i dont remember. my shop where the rear is stored is 45min away so i cant get there till saterday but i will get the ID# and post it asap.

 

Ok. Do you know what year it came out of? I believe in late '89 they switched to 28 spline (do not quote me on that one though). Also, if you have the car it came out of, what is the RPO code?

 

i bought the rear from another tgo member. looking back at my pm's he gave me his phone# so i dont have any info on where the rear came from as of now. ill get the #'s this weekend and that should tell us the year.

 

just looked for the numbers and i guess i got the wrong number because i cant find a match in my book. ill look again the next time i get up to the car but this is a good rear with a tight posi i just decided to get a 9-inch

10-bolt still for sale

 

I need the factory 89-92 10 bolt disc backing plates and the 2 brackets on the axle cover for the park cables.

Plese let me know.

 

Here are some pics of the ten bolt. The previously menchond Richmond gears are sold but i still have the rear. Its a good rear just went to a 9". I still do not want to part this out so please dont ask.
