383 Carb Setup
Im thinking about swapping to fuel injection so Im putting my carb setup on the table. I have the carb, intake, and distributor.
The carb is a Holley 4150 Double pumper w/ 4 corner idle and has a proform main body with no choke. A guy i knew bought the carb brand new and paid a little over $600 for it. He had the proform main body installed professionally. Im not sure where he purchased it, but it was from a performance/speed shop. They were the ones that added the proform main body after the carb arrived from the factory. He had it for a little over a month on the engine, but he sold it. I paid $500 and got the carb from him. Ive had it for around 2 months on my engine. So the carb is about 4 months old id say. It has stock jets, only thing modified is the main body.
The intake is an Edelbrock performer RPM non airgap. Its a square bore style. I bought it new from autozone a day before i got the carb. Its a little dirty now, but it should wipe up just fine. If i get any offers/trades ill remove everything and clean it all up and post pics.
The distributor, im not sure who made it. It was in the engine when i bought it. It has an adjustable vacuum advance canister. Its a non computer controlled HEI of course. Since ive had it, i swapped the rotor and cap for an MSD setup and i added an Accel high output coil. I also have the stock coil to go with it.
If you are interested, send an offer. Id prefer to trade for a fuel injection setup though. If you would prefer to talk over phone, send me your number through PM and ill give you a call after 9pm. Thanks

Re: 383 Carb Setup
i went from tbi to carb.
Im looking for an hei distributor and now have no use for my computer controled summit tbi distributor. Is that something you can use and would like to trade for or do you need a different style distributor?

Re: 383 Carb Setup
Hey, I would be interested in your setup. Just removed my engine from my car and plan on going swapping to carb. Anyways, I have the complete TPI setup from my car up for grabs (plenum, intake, runners, MAF, dual snorkel air, k&n filters, fuel injectors, distributor, all relays etc.) Please let me know if you are interested in trading. Where are you located?
