Just wondering if this will work on a 88 tpi 5 speed trans am ??? and is this something you have to solder in or does it just plug right in... I have cash in hand and need something new for upgrades....

 

Nope.... 88 uses MAF TPI, this is for a MAP TPI, the 90, 91 and 92 years...

Stock 305 heads, cam, etc... I have Hooker 2055 headers and K&N air filter...

Note the 305 5 Speed cars had the same cam as the 350 TPI did the 90 to 92 years.
