Selling one of my trans coolers, it barely has any miles it. Cooler was used for a couple of months after an engine/trans swap and then car was stolen. Its been sitting around and car was barely driven as i was tuning it. Car had a 3000 stall 700r4 and a 460hp 383 HSR which is now gone but the cooler kept the trans temps down since car was mostly street driven.

I paid $143 for this cooler and then $40 for this automatic switch to turn the trans cooler fan on at 180on and 165off. I have all instructions for the cooler as well as the thermoswitch. The fan on the cooler pushes ALOT of air from such a smaller cooler im actually surprised.

Im asking for 100$ total plus shipping, or shoot me a resonable price. Both of these things cost 200$!!! thats 1/2 off the price! I will even throw in 6ft of hayden 5/16" rubber transmission cooler hose (still in its package) to sweeten the deal!

did you run this along with the stock trans cooler or just this by its self? Im having problems keeping my 700r4 uner 200 with a 12" yenk 2800 stall...im running a big b&m cooler with the stock cooler but i need to change something. wish i was faster on this deal. any advice would be well needed tho. thanks

 

..... If your stock cooler is the one in the radiator side tank it is heating your trans oil ... bypass it and run the B&M by itself ........ something I recently found out about the 700R4 is that the flow is diminished to the cooler when the converter clutch is NOT locked ... in other words , the greatest flow to the oil cooler is when the converter clutch is locked .....

 

I ran 2 coolers in series to cool my 3000 stall 12" converter. Dont use the stock cooler in the rad, it heats the fluid and it wont ever be lower than engine temp since its in the rad.

Bypass the stock rad cooler, run the fluid right into the external cooler. I had mine come out from the trans to the B&M cooler then right into the permacool cooler and then back to the trans. One cooler by itself is not enough for my application. So i had to run 2 of them. If anyone wants my B&M cooler id sell it cheap. Its the 24,000 GVW one.

I was also running a steel deep pan (deepest available which is 2 qts i believe) and i would suggest getting an aluminum cast trans pan and tapping it for a temp sender for a trans temp gauge. You want to know the fluid level in the pan and not the lines bc it will give you a better idea of how the overall trans is doing. Lines coming out of the trans is heated from the converter slipping so the fluid will be hotter than the pan fluid, then the line coming back to the trans is cooler than the fluid in the pan (bc its coming from the cooler).
