Fs 6.0 lq4 Complete
Here I have an lq4 iron block ls2 (6.0L) out of a 2001 GMC sierra 2500hd with about 100k on it when it was taken out, the garage I got it from told me there was either a bent rod or push rod when it was removed. It ran fine but had a knock, it needs a rebuild I didn't take it apart to see exactly what it was that was the issue. It comes with everything manifolds, intake, coil packs, wires as you can see in te link, No harness. I decided to go with a smaller engine for my car so trying to get rid of this. I'm asking $650 obo, pick up only I will not ship, feel free to pm me with any questions thanks!

I have not, my brother works there and he said it had a knock. reason for the price, I don't wanna sell something that someone cant use. I'm located in rockhill near Middletown.

the only good part from it are the coils are the best coils you can get higher output than MSD LS1 coils and the block if its a 2001 its cast iron heads not the 317 and the crank is longer which is good if you want to use a later model trans because the crank is longer than most LSX so you can run a th350 400 or 700r4 without a crank space

Re: Fs 6.0 lq4 Complete
looks like it would be an 04 because the exhaust manifolds still have EGR and the cable driven TB because in 05 they went to drive by wire and no EGR and in 2003 they had the coils that have the heat sinks on them and are more round (the good coils)
Great block to start a project with capable of 1000hp on stock bottom as proven by 98cobrakiller on LS1 tech he used stock rods and crank and got forged pistons

Re: Fs 6.0 lq4 Complete
it could have been a replacement under warrenty either or a 2004 is better than a 2001 and the aluminum headed ones are the good ones with L92 heads showroom stock cam edelbrock intake that engine is good for 505 hp

Correct me if I'm wrong but it's not a bad price considering.

Re: Fs 6.0 lq4 Complete
I used to have an 01 silverado HD with the 6.0. I seem to recall it had aluminum heads. I could be wrong tho. It is a good deal and I'm really tempted to grab it and build a stroker for my 91 down the road. Or maybe even just rebuild it and replace the 5.3 in my current truck. If I have any cash left over after I get my car tuned next week, I'll take it(if you still have it!).
Re: Fs 6.0 lq4 Complete
Its an 02 or 03
01's and older had graphite head gaskets, 02+ MLS
Cable TB so its 03 or older
Non connected steam ports suggest 03+
EGR was vehicle dependent until 04 when it was completely removed
Besides, its a blown up LQ4 thats had maybe 3 oil changes in its life, from the rust belt and missing alot of big $$$ parts. Since the oil cap is missing and its dripping with water, one can assume the oil isnt so pure. You also have no clue what you've got and like most are tying to get solid gold for a steaming pile, trying to find some slob foaming at the mouth for anything LSx
Id give you $100 tops
As was posted above, the only thing worth money are the coils and since that engine is so rusted, even those cant be guaranteed to be worth anything. Salt somehow gets inside them and corrodes them from the inside at an alarming rate. Ever noticed how 9/10 coil failures on LS1tech happen to guys from the rust belt?
Baloney, any buyer will be looking to save a dollar, esp in this economy. They will also make use of crazy stuff like google which will bring them to places like LKQ which sell good engines with warranty in loads better shape than that heap for 1/3-1/2 what you say "they go for". You cant gauge a value based on the first two ads you see some dreamer posting

I have (in my driveway) a 2003 GMC 2500HD, 6.0, it is drive by wire. If this is cable, it is older than a 2003.
