Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Any chance of getting a part#, I'm not very good with the computer yet. I tried doing some research but seems these won't fit an 82, my car is an 86 but I'm using a m-21 Muncie. I know these headers are way overkill for my current engine but they sure look cool and I am slowly putting another motor.

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Thanks for the part#, I was able to look them up and was really bummed, they won't work with either of my engines, wrong cyl heads. Thanks for tour time.

Lets be perfectly clear here, ARE THESE FOR A THIRD GEN CAMARO, (82-92), I CAN SEE THEY ARE FOR SMALLBLOCK, BUT WHAT TYPE OF HEAD, STANDARD 23* OR 18*-15*-or 14* STYLE HEAD, AND ARE THEY FOR AUTOMATIC TRANS OR MANUAL TRANS APPLICATION???? Thanks Slick.

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Guess im a bit confused are these 1 5/8 to 1 3/4 or 1 3/4 to 1 7/8 as posted above?
Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
yes they are for a third gen camaro, otherwise why in the f' would I advertise them here. they are for a 23* head, and they clear the TH-200 in the car and a TH-350 just fine. I'm sure they would fit with a stick, not sure about eh overdrive transmissions

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
I checked with Headman, they told me that these headers are for raised port heads (but not cantfields, .600 taller) remote oil filter & mini starter. Where I might have blown it was I told them that I was checking for a used set of headers, oops, doesn't give them much incentive to really check to hard. One thing I am concerned with is the external shift linkage on our M-21, it sticks allot farther out than the side of a T-5, and ground clearance even with the flat collector. These are grate looking headers but if they don't fit my combination it would be a wast. I'll do some more research & get back with you.

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Ok this is what the Headman catalog lists that concerns me, 1983-92, like I stated before, the 82 used the Muncie, even though the 83 still used mechanical clutch linkage that doesn't seem to be a problem. My other concern is they state, and I'll quote- Fits new angle plug heads with raised exhaust ports. I don't know if they mean aftermarket or the aluminum corvette heads that some camaros came with. The corvette heads I can get, a buddy of mine has a couple of sets. I'm not given up yet, give me a couple more days to see what else I can dig up. Thanks

82 uses T10, not muncie.

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Ok, still thinking about your headers but one more question, how far below the subframe do these hang, a picture would be great if possible. I'm using a set of 081 heads with 1.94 & 1.60 valves, With ALLOT of port work, hoping that they will flow about as good as the old 461 double hump heads. A buddy has access to a flow bench so I'll find out later. So like I said if you could get a side shot of the headers at the subframe it would be great, thanks.

they don't hang very low, that's one of the reasons they are 4 across and not stacked like a conventional headers, they are not on the car as you can see a picture is not possible

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Just in case the sale falls through I was asking for pictures of the other identical set that is installed on your car, not trying to be a pain, but i'd rather lose out on ten good deals than get one that really won't work for me. Thanks.

Re: hedman hustler SBC headers
Thought I'd through this in just for fun, liked this design so much I'm just going to build my own set. Got enough old headers laying around, buy a few mandrel bends & donuts, probably about 4 to 5 days and I'll have an ugly set of headers that will work just fine, especially since there going in a 24hrs of Lemons car that can't be worth more than $500. My last set of shorties I bought new, sand blasted them then sprayed them with old battery acid so they looked like old junk, no problems with the BS judges. Thanks for your time.
