I have a complete C5 Z06 front brake kit for sale. Everything is new and it has all be powder coated. This is everything you will need to install a big brake kit on the front of your 3rd gen. Kit includes the following:

2 C5 Z06 calipers

2 GM drilled rotors
2 abutment brackets

2 adapter plates

GM front brake pad kit

2 modified spindles powder coated black will include hubs

2 modified hubs powder coated black with new Timken bearings and seals.
2 Earls stainless brake lines


Complete hardware kit which was bought new from GM.

I may have missed something but I dont think so. What you see in the pics if what you get. Shipping most likely will be high but I can get detailed quotes for those of you on the West coast. All these parts were bought new last December. Asking $950 or you can pick it up in Westport Mass. You cant build this kit for under $1,100 AND have all the parts powder coated on top of it!!!

I also have 2" spacers for sale if you need them.

 

are you willing to just sell the parts individually, I need the spindles and brackets

 

Just curious, but these will fit any 3rd gen even an '84?

 

I'm not splitting up the package like that unless someone else commits to buying the rest


As for them fitting an 84, I am not 100% sure but I can't see why not.

 

IIRC you have to have at least 16" rims to fit these. Maybe 17"

 

They require at least 17" wheels to them to fit. I think I remember reading here that you can grind some material off the calipers.

I have 16" wheels that hit the calipers. These are amazing

I need some better than stock calipers as my left side sticks. I could just rebuild the stockers but why do that if I can upgrade

 

You can either buy the 1LE kit and use the 16" wheels you already have or just replace the calipers with new or reman ones from the local parts store. They are cheap there and most offer a lifetime warranty. If you go that route then I highly suggest replacing both sides at once and replacing the rubber hoses.

I could have swore that some guys were able to fit the Z06 brake kit inside a 16" wheel IF they grinded down the cooling fins on the calipers. I could be wrong though

 

The LS1 camaros brakes fit under the 16s, and the C5 vette will fit 17s without modification. The C5s will fit under SOME (not all) 16s if you grind the outer fins off the top (make them look like the LS1 Camaro calipers)

I paid $750 for the GM brake parts from GM.

Hubs, spindles, brackets, bearings, hardware, and wheel studs were $400

lines were $100

powder coating was $300

I have $1550 in this kit. it is a simple bolt in, bleed your brakes and go kit. The parts will not rot out either because of the coating. You cant go wrong for $950

 

i will take the hub and spindle also the lines if they would work on a 5th gen brake swap this is exactly what ive being looking for
