For Sale 1988 TPI harness - GTA (5.7, auto)
For sale I have an engine harness from a 1988 Pontiac trans Am that had a 5.7 TPI motor and THM 700R4 Trans.
Some fixes and issues I need to mention:
-knock sensor wire and connector has an issue, will need a pigtail to fix
-starter ignition wire was cut at the old connector because old one was corroded
-distributor, coolant temp, and some other comnnectors are missing the locking tab, but none slid out on me. Pretty sure they can be fixed with out any cutting
-4 injectors had replaced pigtails- done properly and worked well
Herness should be gone over before it goes into a car. It is dirty, loom needs replacing and o ring connectors should be checked. This should in my opinion be done to any harness transplanted from one car to another. I am very precise about wiring - it has to be perfect for me before I am satisfied.
scale of 1-10 (10 being best), this harness is an 8 IMHO
asking $210 shipped
includes, relays on firewall, new fuel pump relay replaced a year ago, and new esc module replaced 3 months ago.
I also have both inside and engine bay cruise control harnesses. The one one the inside has 4 cut wires (to the multifunction switch) which I needed for my conversion.
I also have harness parts for the inside, the other half of the c207 and assorted parts, let me know via this thread or a pm

ecm to bulkhead
pass side of the firewall
this goes the length of the drivers side framerail
those are the wires that use the starter as a junction block, the darker one is the one that is cut, it is the ignition wire
ECM/relay fuse, this is what you were interested in I believe
same
wiper wiring
grounds for the drivers side head, they decided to come out of the old connector by themselves - guess it was loose

closer shot of starter wiring
distributor wiring - I think it is missing the locking clip, but it did not slide out on me ever sooo...
C207 connector- to the inside of the car (pass side)
cut wires on the cruise wiring (for the connector for the multifunction switch
that same harness
This is what connects to the previous harness pictured. It goes through the firewall via a grommet. This has the vaccuum hose taped with it. It goes to the contraption mounted on the driver side strut tower
negative battery cable
pictured is the other wire that broke off that I forgot about. It is for the knock sensor . The connecotr is broken too, so this would have to be replaced with a pigtail. (I think GM still uses the same style in LS powered cars) the rest of this wire is located in the loom by the starter wiring.
Also here is the light connector half of the c100 bulkhead connector with the shield that goes over the entire c100
the relays and 3 month old ESC module
The fuel pump relay is only a year old too
bracket not included

It's a steal at 210. -- both sides of the passenger side connector - c207 included as well as most of the factory cruise

I will include a computer with chip for another 90 bucks... Buyers choice of programming - 88 305 (with cold start)or 89 350 (without cold start)
Computers (I have 2) are both brand new reman units a couple years old.

Well since there is little to no interest, I am going to rebuild this harness and offer it as a remanufactured unit
