That's odd (the length), I bought a TV cable through either AutoZone or Kragen for the '91 I had, I'd think it'd be the same..
New was only 22 bucks.
You sure you're looking at the right thing?

I finally got one from the dealer for $24.
It had a 62 on it, and tranny is now torn apart getting rebuilt.
Lost 2nd and 4th! also he said that it had been slipping for quite some time now. and 1st he was surprised it was even working at all from the look of the bands. he is building a Strong transmission for me and using twice as thick band, stronger sun gear etc... also install a shift kit and a 2200-2600 stall. he even told me that i could hit the track
every weekend and he would still honer the 1 year warranty on it. he said he wants the the drive shaft of rear-end to snap before the tranny
.... I get it back Monday.

i didnt check summit and other places like that, i was trying to get the correct one on before what happened happened. but it will be done Monday and with the correct cable on it for sure.
Detent cable $25
Tranny rebuilt $1000
Knowing what I know now about how important that $25 cable is.... Priceless!

yea dont mess with the tv cable if you dont know about it.
and also, breaking that 10 bolt isnt really that big a deal, so id do that next if you plan on makin some power. a 2600 stall and some stickies are getting close to its limit already.

Just got one last night for $25 including shipping at Rockauto.com. A bit long (61") but it'll do.
