new engine...need parts

I'm starting a new engine for my recently aquired 87 TA. I'm ditching the 305 so I'm looking for a bare 350 block as close to massillon ohio as possible. I'm also looking for a holley dual plane intake, Holley carb(prefer around 600-700 cfm), and a Distributor, brand of dist isn't a big issue although I prefer mallory. I've got a mallory 85 series distributor on my 84 that I'm very fond of. Hope you guys can help me out with these few things. Whatever I havn't aquired by the time I get a block and get it machined I'll just buy new....just wanna save some money. thanks

Re: new engine...need parts

Where is Massilion ohio compared to Cincinnati..WAIT Just looked it up... Usually about as close to massilion ohio I get regularly is Columbus.. I go there almost every other weekend..

I have an 1987 350 block thats in killer shape,. Long story short.. I had it machined/bored .030 over.. Installed a forged setup and blower and struggled with tuning for a while.. I ran the block for a short time before buying a DART block and starting over with a turbo setup.. To be honest looking at this thing all you would have to do is a quick hone to allow new rings/pistons to break in properly and your set... the block is still very clean... It was deburred, tanked, checked for cracks, then bored/honed/new bearings and freeze plugs installed.. I probably put about ~700 miles on it total and then went a different direction.. the thing has been sitting in my shop for a couple of years now..

sounds good since I won't have to machine it. but I'll ahve to let you know. still might be too far for me. I've got the engine out of my jeep right now, I'll have to see if I can use a buddies truck.
