Hey guys tired of this stupid 305. Im tired of getting beat and i want a sbc engine but at least a 350. I want a rebuilder! Im looking for any kind but more towards a 4 bolt and a carbed engine. Im wanting one from 0-500 bucks. I want a complete engine besides the manifolds and A/C and emmisons crap. Also would like it to be around waynesville ohio!

Re: Needing 350 or bigger!!!!!

Hi,
We have a 2pc rear seal 350 with a Q-Jet manifold that is from a '92 Z-28 we bought it has the pre '87 heads and it does smoke oil I do not know if the block is 2 or 4 bolt I can check the casting number to see of if needed drop the pan. The motor ran when we pulled it in Sept. the prior owner told us it was from a mid 80's pickup It also has a Turbo 350 trans with what appears to be a B&M torque converter I have no idea what the stall speed is but the trans is avalible also it has the mount for the torque arm.

Pm me or e-mail me at daferris@cablespeed.com for photos motor is in zip code 48854
Thanks
Dave

Re: Needing 350 or bigger!!!!!

Check out my 383 I know you want a rebuilder but, this one is done right and I have receipts. I have around $5500 in the engine but asking $3300.00. Should be around 500hp at the crank depending on intake and carb setup...

Here is a list on the engine it is a 92 L-98 block that is the only thing used. The engine was in a 92 camaro, with a Holley Stealth ram, it requred more tuning than I wanted to do, so it literally has only been around the block 1 time.

Block was done by Tuckers Machine in Murray Ky.
Bored .030 clearenced for crank

Heads are Aluminum Patriot 2.02 1.60 valves, 64cc combustion chamber, valve springs good for up to .600 lift, angle plugs, 7/16 studs, Heads have been cnc ported, 1.6 roller rockers, hardened push rods, new roller lifters, hardened head bolts

Rotating assembly
Eagle Crank, H-beam rods, SRP coated skirt pistons, everything has been fully balanced

Cam is a Comp Cams XR276HR-12 ( e-503) Lift I believe is around .590

new Mellings oil pump

new roller timing chain

new water pump

Fabricated valve covers, notched for alternator

Engine was assembled by Mitch Leidecker at Leidecker Automotive in Ledbetter Ky. It is 9.7 compression

Re: Needing 350 or bigger!!!!!

I've got a 350 taken apart ready to be rebuilt (was my orignal intention. I"ll give ya everything but the serp setup for 150-300 depending on which set of heads u want i have 193 and a set of 083... The blocks a 1pc rear main, roller block (set up for roller but was a flat tappet truck motor, so no hardware), 4 bolt (don't quote me on the 4 i gotta check it might only be 2), also give ya 2 quadra (need rebuilt) and the carb manifold.... every bolt is labeled in a ziploc. I'd meet ya just outside of columbus for an extra 30 bucks if you don't wanna drive 3 1/2 hrs. If your interested PM me and I'll send you some pics and i'll look up the block number.

Let me know if you change your mind, I would be willing to meet half way if that will help. I hate to sell the engine, but I am putting a built LS1 in my 67 camaro so I need the funds....

Re: Needing 350 or bigger!!!!!

buy a 2 bolt block, they are cheaper and if u really plan on makeing power then get a 2 bolt and have a machine shop splay it, it will be alot stronger then a stock 4bolt.......

depends on the machine shop, most places a cpl hundred. but even if u dont have it splayed a 2bolt block using quality arp mainstuds can withstand about 450hp just fine..........im just saying dont count out the 2 bolt blocks, alot of people just get sold on the olf 4bolt is better wich isnt always true....

Re: Needing 350 or bigger!!!!!

Your not gonna find a good block , etc for what your looking to spend.
Im not trying to sound like a **** or anything but there are some good deals listed above. and The ones I offered ya also.

Your best bet if your gonna build something youself why not just call a local salvage yard and get a block from a wrecked vehicle.

I took my 4th gen out into the snow for ya to get you a whole bunch of pictures and then you stopped replying.... Just try and be conciderate to others i'm not mad or anything, i just want you to realize you may upset others if you pull that...
