FACTORY Vacuum TCC Lock up

Need to locate a FACTORY TCC ( Torque Converter Control ) harness and solenoid from a NON-ECM ThirdGen. This will most likely be found on Export cars.

Here's a picture of exactly what I need. ( Note - There is only 1 Soleniod; this pic shows 2 only because the car this harness was pulled from was an Canadian 84 TA with functional hood flaps. )

Please send pics/prices shipped to US Zip code 02827.

Thanx in advance !

Re: FACTORY Vacuum TCC Lock up

That's not the whole setup is it? I'm assuming the square gray pass-through is what goes in the hole where the ecm harness would normally reside. That pigtail must plug into something, I'm guessing another harness that goes to the fuse box?

Re: FACTORY Vacuum TCC Lock up

Yup,.....

Tha's it - The set-up pictured is from an 84 Trans AM.

Once the harness is connected thru the pass side foot-well it's connected to the dash harness C207 connector. I believe that one of those wires was for the ALDL and the other was for the brake switch. Third wire was Black for ground IIRC.

The harness runs into the engine bay where the ECM harness would be, Then behind the engine where it splits and drops to the tranny plug - & over to the drivers side to the Soleniod bracket ( bracket was mounted on the drivers side of firewall)

Give me a day or 2 as I think I have what you need. It came from a 84 camaro if I have it, if that makes a difference

Re: FACTORY Vacuum TCC Lock up

Waiting a few days is NO PROBLEM !!

The last one I had was from an 84 and I used it on an 88 Dash harness that was connected to an 85 Engine harness. It should not matter what year it's from....... I think I can get it to work.

Thanx in advance !

Re: FACTORY Vacuum TCC Lock up

Thanx you VERY much for taking the time to look for me...... I've run into trouble finding one as well as trying to get the one I already paid another member for.

Here is another picture for anyone else that might have one. It shows where the Solenoid is bolted down to the firewall bracket on a Trans Am. It uses an independant harness so removing it from a car is really very easy to do.

Thanx Guys !

Re: FACTORY Vacuum TCC Lock up

Nope,....

Don't need any other relays or the mounting bracket, Those relays are part of other systems and not needed for the TCC set-up.

The pic I posted today was basically a reference just so others can see where the factory placed the TCC solenoid.

Cool as i was looking for the harness in the top pic and just wanted to know if I needed something else to add to it. i know I removd it from my 85 camaro and I know I have that part but I got to find the wiring still for it. If its in my car still Ill just take it out as i dont need it anymore as I went T56
