I'm looking for a lq9 shortblock. Willing to drive about 4hrs one way from Southern Ohio.

 

Is that the 6.0 from a Caddy?

 

Yea and a Silverado SS along with a couple other vehicles.

 

Chevy hd's have em too although lower compression and different computer tune. rebuild kit for a lq9 and lq4 cost the same from scoggy-dicky so find a cheaper lq4 and buy the lq9 rebuild kit. Thats what I did for my 02 Chevy Silverado hd

 

I'd take a lq4 if I could ever find one. There's several vehicles/years that the lq4 was in but they are impossible to find, just the same as the lq9. There isn't a junk yard within 100 miles of me that has either.

 

All over the place here, traded a ls1 for one that I rebuilt put in my truck, took the running one out and traded it for a 69 firebird convertible

 

That doesn't do me much good being on the other side of the US.
