Looking for the dust shield that goes on the bottom of the transmission bellhousing to cover the torque converter and flywheel + Bolts.

Thanx

Re: dust shield

I believe I have pulled this part before for a customer, you are looking for the piece numbered 839 correct?

It looks something like this:

It is plastic, which surprised me.

Re: dust shield

I have never heard of those things being plastic. Mine were always made of sheet metal.

Re: dust shield

The one I pulled off my 305 TBI w/ 700R4 (89 Formula) was plastic.

As the title suggest it is just a dust/dirt shield and only blocks a small section, so I would actually prefer plastic since it wouldn't rust. Being so close to the road surface rust is a real possibility on standard sheet metal.
