V8 fuel injection parts: ecu, harness, intake etc.

Looking to convert my 89 Camaro to fuel injection the best way possible.

Was originally a v6 car
Converted it to a 400 small block with a carb.
Removed ecu and every wire connected to it in favor of a toggle switch to the distributor

Looking for the best or cheapest way to get back to fuel injection. I assume the stock setup of a similar year v8 car would be the ticket. Don't want to go too much $$$ as this engine (and therefor this control package) may all be temporary.

Thinking I will need:
Ecu
Harness
Intake & throttle body
Fuel rail and injectors
as many factory sensors as possible

What year motor is in your car, as GM changed the intake bolt pattern I think in 1987. So you may need a 1985 or 1986 TPI intake. Or change the heads on your motor,

Re: V8 fuel injection parts: ecu, harness, intake etc.

I've got most of the parts in re-finished condition that will fit pre 87 heads. ( Intake, Runners, Throttle Body, Plenum, Fuel Rail, Air Cleaner, small parts, hardware ) My stuff would be priced higher than most used parts due to the work put into cleaning them up.

The parts I DON'T have is a matching harness, MAF, injectors or a chip. ( your injectors and chip will need to be custom anyway. ) If your looking to spend as little as possible - I'm not the guy,...... but if your looking for a higher quality ( than most ), send me a PM.

cheapest way my opinion , is to buy the holley setup in the for sale board and purchase a fast ez efi wiring harness 13 to 14 hundred all that said same money you could buy a running car for afew more dollars more

^buying my parts even with the victor jr and EBL wouldn't cost 1300. I'm going to get everything mocked up and make a separate for sale ad soon. Waiting on one of the custom pieces to get back from black anodize

Re: V8 fuel injection parts: ecu, harness, intake etc.

Thanks for the response everyone.
I ended up picking up a complete tps setup from an 86 corvette with computer, harness, 2 distributors and extra parts for $125.

Don't think I did too bad, I'm still debating about picking up that 7730 Ecu and speed density harness off here.

Should have it running efi again by the end of december
