Wanted: Rubber shifter boot that bolts to the floorpan. For 1984 Z28 5 speed.

I am installing a Pro 5.0 shifter and do not want to cut original boot, in case ever want to return to stock shifter.

So even one that is cut for Pro 5.0 would work, provided it is cut well and not hacked.

Must be clean, good condition, and not cracked, dry rotted, torn.

These are available new from Hawks.
Used ones are kinda a wast of time considering they are very fragile with age.

I did not find a boot, but also learned during the Pro 5.0 installation that the original boot did not need to be cut. The Pro 5.0 instructions in the box apparently are for mustangs.

Nice to know the new ones are available. The steel ring on mine has some corrosion. I'll replace it should I repeat the misery of removing that console.
