Why? If you unscrew the center tube, the sandwich heat exchanger comes off, then you'll have two studs sticking down that hold the oil filter adapter like you'd have on any GM V8 without an oil cooler. Pull the two studs and replace them with regular bolts, and it's just like the cooler was never there.
Normally I'm not one to 'delete' things, but if you're just trying to get a basket case going....

yea my oil cooler only had the center tube that threaded onto the reguler adapter, its not boled like the other cars with the two bolts .
