I believe the 26 splines were up to the late 80's. Went to 28 spline after that.

89 was a mixed bag of 26 and 28 spline 10 bolts, that's the year it changed from 26 spline to 28 spline posi.My 89 came with 26. Other folks claim their 89 had 28 spline. You never know what one of these cars have til you check it though because that was such a common thing to break . Within 6months one car I had went from a Gov-lok to auburn to eventually a 9bolt.
