CLOSED: SBC Gen I Oil Pan
Yah, by the title, it sounds easy. Not so fast ...
I'm looking for a Gen I SBC Oil Pan with dipstick provision in the pan itself. The pan itself should be rear sump for 1-piece rear seal. My block is a 3970010, which is a number used for MANY blocks for MANY years (2 or 4 bolt, roller cam or flat tappet). For some reason I thought all the dipsticks were either left or right through the block, where the pan had the provision in the correct side. Well, when I put my engine together, I didn't even think about it (had to use a different block than what was in the car for reasons). I cleaned/painted a pan I had which had the provision on the correct side (there's a place on the block where the pan rail dips out, but no dipstick hole) and threw it all together ... argh. Now I have no place to fit a dipstick and no way to measure oil levels.
If you don't have a pan but might know the part number for one, let me know. I'd be interested in that as well. I've Googled the **** out of the interwebz and have come up empty handed. Any help is appreciated.

Re: CLOSED: SBC Gen I Oil Pan
Two things:
1. It doesn't appear any of these get me what I need.
2. I'm going a different route so am no longer searching for one, thus why I have edited this with a "CLOSED" in the title.
I do, however, appreciate your reply.
