Oil pan woes
well ive almost got the engine sat in, go to put on the oil pan today, and bgoom.. an inch gap on the rear of the block .. i tried to use the oil pan off my 305 cause i thought it had to be an Fbody oil pan, and someone threw away the pan on the 355 going in it now so im at a stopping point (again

thanks for the help fellas. you need a pan to fit your block other than that most stock pan will fit the car. only differance in the pans is the front curved area being a differant radius. i'd guess you have a one piece rear seal pan on a two piece seal block.

Ede is right Ben, you also need an oil pan for a 2 piece main seal to go along with the correct flywheel, you should be able to find a cheapie chrome one locally for about 40 bux that will fit fine.
