I have a complete '88 9 bolt rear in Lansing, Mi 48k miles but it's a 2:77 gear.
I am not willing to part it out however like to get $250 for it.

Is it iron calipers or the later ones? Do you have pictures?

They are for the 82-88 Delco iron calipers.
was going to cut them off to save the bearings but if you want them.
I may be at garage in a bit and could grab a pic or 2.

Re: Caliper bracket/backing plates for 82-87 9 bolt disc

82-88 10-bolt and 9-Bolt backing plates are different;10 bolt backing plates will not properly mount to any 9-bolt.

They hold the same caliper,... but the flange mounting holes are different. I found this when replacing rotted 9-bolt backing plates a long time ago,... while the pics kinda' suck, they show the only way I was able to quickly ID what backing plate belonged to what 88 and earlier rear end. The highlighted "notch" is a bit deeper / more defined on the 9-bolt backing plates.

P.S. HAWKS sells a set of 9-bolt backing plates that are used to convert to the later "1LE" / "LT1" style Rear caliper. If you're going to spend $$ to replace your backing plates I'd recommend buying a set ( about $100 a pair ) so you can install some decent calipers instead of the factory IROC calipers that everyone seems to hate.

Yeah. Can pretty much find the 10 bolt ones all day, but still no 9 bolt ones. At this point I'm wondering if I should just take back my new rotors, and rebuilt calipers, and upgrade to the 89-92 style caliper. Trying to exhaust every resource before doing that.

Also, to reply to your other post, I'm starting to see why everyone hates them. Mine are rotted and have stuck caliper bolts in them. But I don't know if i can get the later style calipers. Seems like most parts stores don't have any in stock right now.

I have a set of the brackets and steel dust covers I can take off of a rear end Im parting out. I can take a picture of them tomorrow if you'd like. I looked at what Hawks offers, their part doesn't look anything like the factory parts on either of my 9 bolt rear end.

If you could that would be awesome. If they're on a 9 bolt and look like the ones the posted by John then that's what I'm looking for.

I don't have them off but here's some pics of the stock 9 bolt caliper mounting plates. They need cleaned up, the threads look good, dust covers are not damaged just need straightened a little. My cell # 812-343-4752 if your interested.

My phone number is 812-343-4752 call me if you are interested.

Those look like the ones I'm looking for. I'm at work currently but I'll give you a call on my lunch break or after work.

Thank you to Rally Z for selling me a pair and to who mentioned to him that I was looking for these. One step closer to bringing the car down off jack stands, so it's no longer a Jack Stand Queen... as long as I don't keep adding more work for myself because OCD.
