305 TPI to 350 TPI
Hey guys i have an 88 Iroc and my lb9 is tired. Im trying to find out what I would need to get to do a swap from my 88 block to say an older. (maybe early 80's) I still want my TPI setup, and the only blocks I can find are older ones. I know my heads wouldn't fit because of the centerbolts...Someone just help me out im soo confused.
thanks

well if you're going with an older (pre-86) block then your heads won't work and then you'll need to buy new ones. you'd have to switch heads anyway going from 305 to 350. and since you'll be switching the heads....you'll need a new intake manifold. i'm not sure if you can modify the one you have now or not...but check that out first....the intake manifold you'd need would be for an '86 and lower engine. while your at it, switch to a high flow one if you have the money. hope this helps a little...good luck!
