L03 Removal ?
Pulling L03 out of a 91 with 5-speed and installing a ZZ4 [TPI] with six speed. Should I leave the wiring harness and pull the engine or pull the harness with engine?

Doesn't much matter, since you won't be reusing the harness.
But, the less hanging off the engine when pulled, generally the better.

yup
When I pulled my L03 I disconnected everything and left the harness in until after the engine was out. I also removed the T-5 before the engine, seemed alot easier.

The harness isn't as bad as you might think. Once everything is disconnected from the engine (which is most of it), leave the sensors attached to the harness, unbolt them from their mounting, and remove it all as one piece.
What are you doing for a TPI harness? If from a donor car, do the same thing - leave the sensors attached to the harness, unbolt, remove. It helps to label everything as it is disconnected/unbolted, as to location and/or to what it is attached.

Thanks for the info. The TPI harness I have to replace the L03 harness for 91 SD. I marked all sensers on that harness. The problem that I am going to have is at the other end. The right side passes behind the the engine going to the left side and the left side passes behind the engine going to the right side all in one roll!!Plus the power wiring. Any advice on the hummer?
Thanks again!!!

It's been almost 3 years since I did mine, and I have a carb. But, as I remember it, when everything was disconnected/unbolted, the whole thing went over the passenger side fender. Disconnecting the pass-through at the passenger side kick panel allowed the whole thing to come free from the car (take the plastic fender liner out to get access to it). The big connector package on the driver's side firewall can be seperated.
From what I've heard from others with TBI/TPI cars, they are basically the same as what I observed.
